Slideshow of GINO VANNELLI's live performance in Studio 1 in Hilversum for the TROS radio show de GOUDEN UREN with DJ Daniël Dekker. This was on Friday 20 February 2009. A rehearsal, a soundcheck and than the real thing for the radio. Gino did 5 songs:

There was a small audience of people who won tickets in a competition on Radio 2 and among those winners were Wil and her Husband Rob Spelbos who we know as the BIGGEST Gino Vannelli fans in Utrecht, Holland. Gino Vannelli and the 10 Musicians were awesome and so good again that this small studio was a real intimate music-heaven, you had to be there to feel what we mean. We really deeply felt the music and Gino Vannelli's voice went through our bodies like positive electricity and the DutchBeat sounded way too cool, WHAT A SINGER!!! WHAT A MUSICIANS!!! EXCELLENT!!! JOY OF LIFE!!!

Daniël Dekker also interviewed Gino for a little while.

a good thing is playing! i cannot believe this is live!!
it sounds as i were listening in person or to a cd!!! so clear and crisp...
gino, your voice is rocking and it is only 11:00 a.m.
great guitar player!! now the piano, perfect... amazing, i know a good thing and i just heard it....oh yea!!!
gino's smiling too! gino says.. "should i just go into the next song?" yes!!! gino, go right into the next song...

song two...measure of a man.
gino tells a brief synopsis about the next song, "it's a personal experience," he said, "it's about me".. one of many that you could write and sing about, i'm sure. i love it, can't wait for my cd to arrive! gino, you sound so great. i know i am repetitive with my words but it is so true. your voice is so strong and at it's best. (my words aren't exactly as stated) gouden uren is interviewing gino... asking him what is the secret to vannelli and how the cd came about. "the secret to vannelli is "determination". says gino.
"most of the songs on the new album were written in holland; inspired from living in holland." "the people...when the sun hits the ground..." gino said, "his exposure to his father's career was a great education for him."

gino is back...makes me want to dance at 5:30 in the morning!!!....
it's brother to brother!!!! can this get any better???
i just had flash back, from 1979....philly!!!
and yes, someone has been practicing his guitar, great solo!!
so has the pianist, this is simply beautiful...i love it...
i still cannot believe this is live, coming from a radio station in the netherlands, across the ocean and i am hearing a live concert from gino in my home!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks b and t for letting us know about this show. gino must be very pleased with a huge smile on his face. WOW!!! kudos to the band, great job with brother to brother.

"ok, lets proceed from the new album" says gino... the dutch beat...this is going to one of the best. i can just feel it. this song conveys your happiness gino...relaxed, care free, just live'n a good life...

gino says..."here's an oldie but goody as they say"... you gotta move!! ok, it's 5:50 and i am rocking to gino in my seat in front of my computer. this is a first for me!!

great show gino... thank you. the band most certainly has the vannelli groove. wish i could have been there in person. hopefully soon you will announce shows for us fans here in the states. what a way to start my morning with a gino fix. i am so pumped!!! i have a good feeling that your cd will show up in my mailbox today...

Zo leuk dat we jullie weer gezien hebben vandaag !!!!!
Wat was het toch een supergoed optreden van Gino in de Gouden Uren !!!!!
Het zit weer helemaal in mijn hoofd en lijf, en ik laat het er nooit meer uitgaan!!!

Vanaf dat ik donderdag hoorde dat ik de kaartjes had gewonnen liep ik op wolken en nu na het optreden voelt het nog steeds zo.
Zo speciaal om met een handje vol mensen in de studio te zijn en dan te luisteren en kijken naar Gino, het leek wel een privé voorstelling, nou eigenlijk was het dat ook ........ onder het optreden besefte ik me dan ook steeds wat een ongelofelijke bofkonten we zijn dat we dit mogen mee maken !!!!

En het was echt niet aan Gino te horen dat het nog in de ochtend was, zijn stem klonk weer fenomenaal en de band was ook zo geweldig !!!

Van de mensen die het op de radio hebben beluisterd hebben we gehoord dat het ook heeeeel goed overkwam.

We hebben er weer een hele mooie herinnering bij die we zullen koesteren !!!!!! Hopelijk zijn jullie ook weer veilig thuis gekomen en gaat het met Gino ook goed........er waren trouwens nog lekkere broodjes, we hebben wat voor jullie bewaard die geven we wel op 20 maart, haha. Nog een goed nagenietend weekend

Yesssss Trees, Fun and big laughs, isn't it???? We were sitting here with 3 phones and I was the lucky one with the cell-phone, my, oh my, i still cannot believe it !!!!

This is really our lucky day !!!! Right before I came live in the air I had a nervous break down and kept on laughing and lauging...... At the moment I am still walking around with this BIG smile and that will last till the end of the day for sure, hahahaha
